Charity Golf Tournament July - 2010
When lovely little Hannah passed away last year at the age of ten, her family decided to have friends and family support Family Respite Services (FRS) in return. FRS had been providing services to the family since Hannah was only months old. Hannah had significant physical, developmental and medical challenges. Each week of Hannah’s lifes, FRS supported the family’s efforts to love and care for their little angel, ensuring that she could continue to live at home, surrounded by her caring family. Hannah McCann’s family believes that she lives on in a small way through this Golf Tournament.
Family respite services (FRS) supports over 900 families caring for children with disabilities. Children ranging from 0-18 years of age with various disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, developmental and physical disabilities, as well as medical and mental health challenges. The mission of FRS is to enrich the quality of family life, seeking the fullest participation of the child in the community. They provide many services and programs to families ensuring they receive a much needed break.
The Great Lakes Industrial Sales Consortium (otherwise known as GLISC) is a not-for-profit business networking organization specific to industrial sales. Not only do our members connect to share leads and network; but also to work together to offer solutions and try and attract and retain industrial business in our region. “Our group’s focus is community”, says GLISC’s President of the Board, Michael Kramer. “We believe in our community, want to see it grow and thrive – and a huge part of that is supporting social agencies like FRS – that help make our community stronger”, Kramer continues.
M.T.E. Controls Corporation/Con-Syst-Int Group Inc. are proud supporters and participants of fundraising and charitable events such as this in our community.
